Almost Friday!!! Dino Lord here a bizarre and strange dinosaur. Presenting Nothronychus Thursday.
Nothronychus is a very strange because at first it looks like a carnivore because it had claws but well get into that later. First likes talk about what group Nothronychus comes from, it's a called the Therizinosaurus. Therizinosaurus had very large claws on the tips of their fingers, and most paleontologist agree that these claws would have been used for hooking around branches to feed themselves. Nothronychus ancestors migrated from Asia, and fossils of this dinosaur have been found in north america. Nothronychus was not alone, there was another dinosaur, Zuniceratops and Raptors lived in the same environment would have cross paths. Nothronychus was estimated between 4.5-6 meters long and lived in the late Cenomanian to early Turonian of the Cretaceous. The strange and fastening thing about Therizinosaurus were they once stream line meat eaters but a few million years of evolution they became plant eaters. Nothronychus is one of those plant eaters.
That's it for today. But don't worry Dino Lord will be back tomorrow with more bizarre dinosaurs.
